This may be the best setup for a V8, as the wheels will stay perpendicular to the road under squat (acceleration) and in cornering, but some loss in independence.  I've considered this for my V8.  You definitely need to add that lateral link...

  Interesting, looks like a DeDion setup, but without the lateral link.   
  You could add one pretty easily.
