[V8Vairs] Porsche Transaxle

I have a Crown Corv-8 project.  It currently has a standard Saginaw 4
speed.  I would like to get better freeway speeds with lower rpm.  I
know the Porsche G50 trans is used in other V8 swap or kit cars.  Has
anyone used one in their Corv-8?  I would like to know more about what's
required in fabrication, what to look for, and what they are likely to
cost in the San Diego area. TIA
