Paul:
I don't know that article (is it by Harlan Colburn?). If so, I have seen
Harlan's car (but I haven't watched it on a track yet). Is it where the rear
suspension is modified so that the angle (up) of the trailing arms is modifed so
that an extended line intersects with the center of mass? Harlan has
discussed his modification with me, and with the results he has achived with the car,
it seems to me that they work (but keep in mind Harlan is a really really
good driver too).
If the article gives a set angle he modified to, I would be very careful;
Harlan has cut off the roof, has taken out the glass, and has a lot of
fiberglass on the car (and has lightened a lot of things); in otherwords, the angle
that finds his car's center of mass is not necessarily what will work on your
car. I think he did put the blower on the car after he and his dad did the
suspension modification.
Harlan's number is in the V8 Registry, and I do believe he would be more than
happy to talk to you.
Come back safe, and keep us posted on your suspension research and
modifications!
