Believe it or not...the 2  v8 cars run in SCCA use just the Sag!

John Brakke  used the Hewland  in a stockbore Vair engined GT3...road race 
only SCCA...

v8's have enough torque to not require as many gears...

For us streeters..an OD  ratio is more important....with  the ZF's  and 
Porsches [ way cheaper]  being the usual choice...
