I would like to see your "real brakes" stacked up against my drums in
stopping power. The corvair brakes were designed for 4000 lb cars. If you put the
right material in for brake shoes they WILL stop as good or better than any
disc brakes, repeatedly. I routinely stop from over 100 mph with NO brake fade
during a race and my race car is street legal. Although, not a V-8 powered car.
This is not a personal dig, I am just trying to disparge any falacies.
