[PPCC] July Meeting at Monument Lake

Hi Everyone,
I thought I would send out directions to everyone on how to get to Monument
Lake, especially for those newer members who haven't been there before.
Take Hwy 25 to Monument. Take exit 161 ( this is the same exit number if
you are coming from the north or the south). At the end of the ramp, take a
left turn at the light. This is 2nd Street. You will go through town and
over a set of RR tracks. After the tracks, make  a left turn on Mitchell.
You will a very small sign for Monument Lake Turn right on Swenson Lane.
This is a dirt and gravel road and it takes you down to the lake.
Fishing starts early  and the meeting is a 10:30, followed by the BBQ.
Bring your lawn/camp chairs. This is a family day with games and fun times.

Also a reminder, if you plan to attend as a guest of the EAA (Experimental
Aircraft Assoc.) meeting on July 19th (recheck a blast I sent out earlier
in the week), they would like to have a count of how many of our club
members will be attending. Please RSVP to me by Friday night....that's
tomorrow.... The topic is on Corvair powered airplanes. Rick Holland hand
built his Corvair engine airplane and will be sharing how he put it all
together and the modifications he made. It is a beautiful plane. What a
great chance to take a few pictures of your car with the plane!!
