[FC] Windshield trim connectors

Hi Everyone,
I am getting ready to install my windshield. It has the stainless steel trim.
My question has to do with the small connectors that cover the gaps between the four trim pieces.
There are two different sizes. Do the longer pieces go horizontally or vertically?I just want to get it right the first time.
