64 greenbrier I parted out last year had the differential with mount pad
(now in my rampy after a rebuild) and A arms had holes for spring
mounts..(gone now ). I looked into having a local spring maker do this a long time
ago. At that time it would have cost me $300 to do it , and not worth it to
me. Thinking it over brought up a loot of possible problems also (after
talking to the spring experts in East Syracuse NY)
Truck has been fine so far without it. At the time I was hauling 3 50gal
drums of gas often for the boat.

Hello Jimmy,
I have been working on a similar idea; to make a camber compensator for
the FC. It would operate somewhat differently than the '64 car leaf
spring in that it would not support any weight or reduce rear roll
stiffness (something to avoid with a high CG FC) but instead produce a
reduced spring rate as the A-arms extend down from a static load
position. It is designed to prevent the jacking effect more than
anything else. Some points to consider:
1) The '64 car leaf spring is too short.
2) Some sort of attachment brackets must be fabricated for the ends of
the FC A-arms.
3) You need a '64 type differential or a custom bracket to fit a '65
differential.
