[FC] FC overload springs Revisited ... anyone?

Springs may not be the correct term for they do not look like springs.
More like a bar with two rubber pads on one end that might sandwich the 
lower control arm and the other end that might bolt onto the frame rail 
near where the E. brake bracket is welded.
On the frame rail near the rear is a hole with a welded nut in place.  
The hole in the end of the overload bar(?) lines up with the hole on the 
frame rail when the other end with the two rubber pads are sandwiching 
the control arm.  I will attempt to include photos.
Anyone have experience with these?
