[FC] "Gen" light

When the red light is coming on, my after-market voltmeter reads 10 volts. Then as revs climb the light goes out at about 2200 RPM. Even when running at highway speed the voltage never exceeds 12 V. when it is in this condition. When the truck works correctly,  the Voltmeter reads 14 V at idle and slightly higher as RPM's build.Tim W '61 Rampy 140 4 spd W /alternator
