[FC] window weatherstrips

Everett,
That bottom strip does more than maintain the grip on the window.
On the outboard side, when new, the strip provide a partial seal to keep water out.
Not just any piece of rubber will do if you are going for an original look.

Eric

Those strips aren't seals at all, they are there to help the metal bracket
maintain its grip on the window glass. Take a piece of whats there to the local
glass shop. It is a common use item for other types of windows or even shower
doors where glass is inserted into metal and needs to stay there without
slipping or grinding.

I know what Steve is talking about. I haven't been able to find an exact match.
I bought some for a full size Chevy that I intended to cut down. They look
close. I just haven't had time to try it yet.
If someone has a replacement please share.

Eric

Well, now I'm really starting to wonder....
Thanks to everyone who responded, but I'm pretty sure these aren't
fuzzies (which are connected to the door). The door windows of my FC
have rubber seals clamped to the bottom of the windows, apparently
intended to minimize water entering the door when the window is
closed. See a diagram here:

They are quite dry and cracked, and this is what I'd like to replace. Ideas?
Thanks.
