[FC] click or clunk from differential?

just did that last week on a 64 , 27,000 mile corvan  Beatrice ,  see cnycc 
website) with good looking joints. there were 3 dry caps when i took  them 
apart!
i think ,if any question at all , just replace them , and lube them with  
newer synthetic grease and be done with it.  got pictures of this  one!
by the way , i did have the differential  AND transmission apart also  to 
look at bearings etc. it has new synthetic lube in it now also. i feel that  
ANYTHING that old , with that few miles on it , must have set unused long 
enough  at some time for things to dry off. fan bearing dried out and was very 
bad. rear  axle bearings were the same way , so repacked. the bearings were 
ok , but the  grease was no good. front bearings were the same way.
