Jim,
The factory attached the armrests with a metal plate that was attached to the "inner" door with two screws. The two holes in the armrest screwed to the plate that was on the other side of the door.... so the pressure was on the panel, and not on the threads of the screws...
Does that make sense... ?
If you have a FC Assembly Manual laying around there are some drawings in there that should be a little clearer to you.
Later,
Lonzo

Subject: [FC] Floppy Arm Rests
Hey Everybody,
Hope the summer is going well, and hope the convention was a success.
I need to come up with a solution for the arm rests on the front doors of my
rier - Passenger side is really wobbly and Drivers side basically has nothing
eft to screw into.
Does anyone have a solution for this?? I need to get a nut or something in place
ehind the sheet metal before I attach the door panel and arm rest etc.
Any ideas would be greatly welcome.
Thanks,
Jim Forgey
4 Brier
