Robert Landers and the "cheating tires". THEY DID NOT VIOLATE ANY RULES AND
I SAID THAT IN JEST!!!
Up until about a year ago I had never driven on even one. After having a
flat and putting one on the front of my HHR, I really had to roll into the
throttle softly like I was on an econorun or I would spin that tire and
activate the traction control. I would think, accelerating with two and
braking with four would be a really interesting experience.
Rob ran four, ten or 15 years ago when space savers spares had a little more
rubber on the road than they do now.

Several years ago I remember someone using space savers all the way around
at a convention for the economy run, very little rolling resistance.
They made that, but to me it would be scarry for all 4.
That said, I have a space saver for my Greenbrier, mounted in the original
spare location.
I have not used it yet.......
But, the bonus is that I have a "hinged" motor lid, and it clears the space
saver, where a full sized spare would not let the hinged lid clear.
