if shock is not rubbing , look for rust trails around bushings. usually i  
find inner's getting noisy first. i use silicone brake fluid in a pump oiler as  
a lube on rubber stuff.
look for rust stains around any moving, or bolted  parts , including u  
joints, wheel nuts ,  etc..
