i just built a new engine with a block i found last winter. it is a nos
"replacement " block with a hand struck number on it. all new studs etc.
fitsall casting with all the early 60 choke casting ,blank plugged holes for
several items, and clearance for a late crank. so far it works ok , but i
replaced the oil pump housing with a late unit. i hope ALL oil galleys are
fed the same. i am having issues with the all new valve train that i never
had before. seems noisy even after double checking valve adjustment. i
drove it , rechecked , drove it and i am still not happy with the sounds yet.
so it is now parked until i get more time to dig into it.long story
coming later.
save all the heater delete stuff, if not all the shrouds. save door latches
and window regulators. save all the screws etc from doors. save the
hardware that limits door travel. save save ...parting out is how you learn
how to put them together...
dang salt anyhow.
regards, tim colson
