Not really true. The basic potmetal casting is the same, but noted
in this auction listing, it has screw holes above the faceplate
instead of studs on top. Countersunk machine screws secure it to the
underside of the vehicle's instrument panel, ideally with that
bracket that Bill mentioned but it works just as well without it.
