[FC] engine cover - fastener talk

if the vehicle is not stock why bother with any screws at all?
i have not had screws in mine for many years now (over 50 k miles!)
and it has never been a problem.
the screws in my 63 were a large headed 5/16 phillips. the same screws are  
used in the cover over the differential.  i have some i could take a  picture 
of if it would finish this thread..
