[FC] oils leaks.... the saga continues....

The 140 HP engines did have a different powerglide, however, it was never reflected in the parts book. I know that the vacuum modulator is different, and I believe that the valve body is designed differently to allow for the greater torque of the engine. Other than that, they are basically the same.

At this point in Corvair history, unless you *know* that you have an
unmolested original car [or truck] (very few of these are left anymore),
the engine type bears little relationship to what might be in the
transaxle. Like pulling the blower bearing housing / cover to see if it
is a 145 or 164 inch motor and both heads to check combustion chamber
design and to see if they match (casting numbers won't tell the whole
story if'n someone has been busy in the combustion chamber with their
die grinder) -- you have to visually check the differential ratio (maybe
it is a non-functioning limited slip - you don't know if you don't
check), and you need to check the trans, both low gear ratio, and input
shaft diameter before you really know what you have. I think most all
Powerglides are the same (someone please correct me if this is not the
case).
