John,

It's Corvanatics, of course we're all FC lovers!

If you've put in a LM 110, did you make sure you made all the necessary
changes?

The diff code is on a raised plate on the starter side of the diff close to
where the diff bolts up to the tranny. Post up what code you find, it'll be
one or two letters like BF or HC. This will also tell us if you have a Posi
diff or an open diff.

I like to think of the ratios this way:

3.89 is the hauler diff, especially good for around town, engine will rev
similar to a car with 3.55s. It seems to be the most common in FCs
3.55 is a good compromise, works really nice with the '61 stump puller 1st
gear FC 4spd.
3.27 would be the ultimate for low reving highway miles, kinda like a 3.08
set for a car.

Regards,
Joel

Hi All:

I know that most of you are FC lovers. I have a 63
with a 110hp and I did happen to do a clutch job and
wanted to know what the preffered gear ratio would be
a on FC. I dont know what my ratio is. I am not sure
if the diff is the right one either. What would I look
for.

Thanks
