[FC] Starter issues

I suppose someone might not remove the wrench from the crank before trying 
to start the engine and I certainly did not mean to imply that the wrench is 
to be left on the crank. Perhaps I am a bit naive, but I really don't think 
people are that stupid. I was making a joke playing on the word "teeth" 
which I thought would make it quite clear that hitting the starter with the 
wrench on the crank is very dangerous. Of course, there is the Darwin 
theory....
I am glad you pointed this out though. Just to be sure...

If someone tries to start the car while another person is trying to turn the 
crankshaft, that person is going to get badly hurt if the starter spins the 
engine.  A broken arm at the least, or even death is a possibility.  Never 
have anyone engage the starter under this circumstance.  Many people have 
been maimed or killed by bad advise and this is a classic example of bad

  289 cruisomatic... loved that car!!!! that occasionally would not catch. A
  quick twist of the fan usually turned the engine far enough for the 
starter
