i also  convert to alternator by putting a 1 inch softplug in the oil fill 
hole.  i also weld a small patch in the dipstick hole of a late top shroud to 
get the belt guards etc.   quart paint can lids fit the holes in the heater 
output shrouds for my gas heater conversion..  right now i have 140 heads on it , 
but plan on changing to 110 heads soon. mods are great...go for it!
