[FC] FC Steering Box Info.

Hey everyone:
 
I am rebuilding the steering box in my 1963 Greenbrier.  Can anyone recommend the best lube to put in it?
 
Also, the previous owner sprayed primer all over the column and the column support.  What was the original color of these parts?
