Why?

Fresh lifters CAN set you up for excessive cam wear.  Best to only replace 
known bad ones.

Fresh lifters will not necessarily solve clacking at start-up.  If the 
ticking goes away after driving awhile, leave well enough alone.

At least, this is the way I look at it.

Attachments (if any) are scanned with anti-virus software.
