[FC] non corvair... need help with diagnosing engine management problem

HI folks!

Just in case anyone out there knows a bit about electronic engine management systems....

1988 Dodge Caravan 3.0 3 spd auto.

engine revs up to 2500 rpm for no apparent reason... sort of

sometimes settles down when you turn off all electrical devices ... wipers, radio, fan, lights, etc

sometimes the engine just plain quits at a stop light....

My guess is it is time for a new computer...?

Any best places to buy one?
