[FC] torque converter snout

can you explain the differences in the snouts?  i may have fallen victum of a 
wrong one back a year or 2.. plus i run 65 gears and parts in 2 of my early 
housings with no problems <yet> except a spacer i had to make between the 
backing plate and the control arm for clearances. lates are 100 thousanths wider , 
so i put 125 spacers in .  works great. the only reason i did this , is i had 
3 very nice low mileage late units goint to waste. in fact i have the like new 
carrier and bearing housings from number 3 f/s cheap.
