I am sure he used a 3300 by Teleflex. It is the shift cable used on all
Merc Cruiser stern drives. The 3300 specified threaded ends (10/32 with
1.5 inches threaded. The length is specified my the second set of numbers,
i.e 3300-16 is a 16 foot long cable (suitable for UltraVans. Cables are
available from six ft to 40 feet in length. Cables with bayonet ends and
snap ends ware also available. WestMarine list them on their site.
