There are all variety of third brake light housings to use. There's a place 
in Eugene Oregon called "Brook's cut rate auto parts". If there was a JC 
Whitney store, this would be it. I spent a half hour deciding which light to use in 
my old camper shell as a third brake light (in the 40' long 'just lights' 
isle). I ended up with a multiple LED light about 1"x7". There are so many 
different light housings you could use. If you want a little bit of chrome, try 
looking at lights made for semi trucks at a big truck stop. You probably want 
rectangular to match the tail lights, 2" x 8" would look good.
