Don't know how you made out with the snow blower, but.<BR>
If you don't mind replacing the shaft because it is less expensive, cut the shaft on each side of the gear box.<BR>
Then you can drive the shafts out after you have soaked them with penetrating oil as Lionel mentioned.<BR>
Be sure to put some grease on the shafts when you reassemble for next time.<BR>

The augers (parts 520 and 521 in the below diagram) are rusted fast to the shaft that goes through the gear case. I was wondering why I never broke any shear bolts the past couple of years... that's why. Needless to say, the gear in the gear case is stripped and I can't get the gear case apart to replace it until I get the augers off the shaft. Try though I might, I can't get them off and I was hoping a machine shop could do it for a reasonable cost, even if I have to replace the shaft (that part's not too expensive, but the augers are prohibitively expensive.
