<DIV>First, the slalom schedule for tomorrow is being <B>postponed until October 19</B>. As I am sure you have all noticed, the weather has been pretty poor over the last couple of days, and tomorrow looks to be the worst day of the weekend. We usually run slaloms rain or shine, but if it rains as much as is forecast, running the event will be impossible. The new date is October 19, same time same place. See the JANE calendar for details.</DIV>
<DIV>The second piece of bad news is that our <B>Fall Foliage rally has been canceled</B>. Tom Letourneau had really knocked himself out over several months planning a challenging and scenic route covering three states, and many of us were looking forward to the event. Unfortunately road crews have not been cooperative. Tom recently discovered that nearly half the planned route had recently been repaved with good old fashioned paint-chipping loose stones over tar -- not the kind of surface over which you want to run your Cat! There is just not sufficient time to replan that much of the route, so we are forced to cancel the event for this year.</DIV>
