the left of oil filter,or directly under the filter,if A/C equippted.Attop the
plate is direction's for summer or winter operation. The plate cover's the
corvair's "radiator".Why i call it the radiator,anything that has a liquid [oil]
flowing through it,to be cooled, is a radiator that disapate's heat, aka oil
cooler. This will allow one to say, that the corvair has a radiator.Conventional
vehicle have radiator's, and not known as coolant cooler's.O.K. Pete, let's not
get technical, adding to the confusion. Pete Cuipenski, Fanning Spring's,

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I checked my crossmember and the only bad

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Since I'm now in the process of installing
new upper and lower A arm bushings along with adjusting bolts I
don't think I'd be interested in replacing the one on the car.
Currently I have the passengers side completely done and the drivers upper
is off being painted prior to being reinstalled. Only the lower
drivers side is left to do. New upper ball joints, outer tie rod
ends and sway bar bushings also have been replaced. Shocks only have
less than 1000 miles on them. Also have done the front brakes
over. So you can understand me not wishing to change my current

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Hi Jim, </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2> Many people
discarded them over the years. There function is to help control air
flow and more specifically temperature of the engine during warm up and
operation. It is supposed to be installed - covering the hole - during
summer operation. I'm sure I have extras if your interested. I also have
two late model crossmembers I'd like to part with. They are taking up
too much room and I'd like to see them go. Let me know if your
interested.</FONT></DIV>
