He seems tired from this ordeal and when he rose to his feet he seemed a little unsteady but otherwise appeared to be fairly sharp and in good spirits and didn't have trouble carrying on a light conversation. I brought along a "Floral Garden Planter" with added fresh flowers mixed in from all his friends at <EM><I><FONT face=Arial><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Arial">Bay State Corvairs</SPAN></FONT></I></EM> to which Dick said<EM><I><FONT face=Arial><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: Arial">,</SPAN></FONT></I></EM> "Why the Hell did you spend the Club's money on me?" I'd say he's turned the corner and getting better. I
believe he'd be up for short visits if any of you would be so inclined. I'm optimistic we will see Dick back at the "old Bird Library" by the May meeting. He was a little overwhelmed when I told him how many of you have called to ask how he was coming along. Should there be a significant change in Dick's progress, I'll be sure to pass the news along to you.</SPAN></FONT></P></DIV>
