I trust you've all made it home by now and I hope
safely. I heard of a couple of problems, (John Teixeira and
myself included) but outside of Pat & Lou's transmission or torque
converter, (the jury's still out), and Jim Power's motor that went up in
smoke 1/2 way to Clark's while coming in from York, ME, I believe everyone else
arrived home in their 'Vairs.

Where do I begin? Rather name names, (that's
so petty don't you think so Cathy
McCafferty?) Let's just say what happened in So.
Deerfield will stay in So. Deerfield. Seriously, for those who didn't
partake, it was a great show, if I do say so. The accommodations and
staff at the host hotel, The Red Roof Inn in So. Deerfield, were very
nice to all the club members. At Clark's, everyone pitched in and a near
record breaking 71 cars were spread out over Clark's Corvair Parts
grounds in 8 classes. As a club, we all worked very well
together to get the job done. Vin D'Agostino did another stellar job
as our venerable club DJ and new for this year, Jim Pickering towed his
Kettle Corn concession stand all the way from Cranston Rhode Island.
Dave Clark topped them all by brining his spectacular new black enclosed car
trailer with our club's logo emblazoned on both sides. It had a full
length awning that when fully extended served as registration central. It
was very impressive. Mother Nature cooperated by giving us a
beautiful show day.

Final expenses for food, tables, the grill, the
Clark's gift and misc. expenses vs. income generated from the sale of raffle
tickets, silent auction, food, 50/50 tickets, donations from Jim Pickering, (the
Kettle Corn Guy) Lionel Bernard and Cal Clark are being calculated and will all
be spelled out for you at this months meeting so plan on attending to get the
results from our club Treasurer, John Wingle. It appears we did
quite well thanks to all your generous support and hard work.
