<DIV>Rick,</DIV>
<DIV>Im coming in on the tail end of this, the valve spring height is important
to be all the same, but I don't think that it causing your skip. The valve
adjustment will. When adjusting back off until they click, turn in to no click,
then turn in 1/4 and let the engine smooth out, turn another 1/4 and let it
smooth out again. If it does not back it off 1/4 or less. Listen to the exhaust.
5/8 of a turn is a recommended adjustment not the rule. Get it to idle as smooth
as possible. If there is a valve noise when you are done don't worry about it.
