BSCC- Corvair Parts

Hey gang. Paul Zangari asked me to post this note for anyone interested in parts.

I’m making progress in uncovering the trove of Corvair parts I’ve collected since the 1970s and I’ll soon have to slam the lid on the place. I’m not sure where everything will wind up, but I’d rather see anything useful go to someone who enjoys bringing Corvairs back to life or keeping them healthy.

Fortunately, I was able to sell the ’31 Chrysler that was sharing space with the ‘Vairs, and that’s freed up space to move around. I’m going to be sorting, mostly on weekends, and wanted to invite anyone in the club who may have a need for stuff to get in touch.

Ideally, maybe someone’s positioned the way George Reidel used to be: He loved to work on Corvairs and had barn space for parts storage. I’ve got a stash of EM and LM doors, hoods, and trunk lids – even the back half of a ’65 Corsa turbo coupe! There is also a bunch of engines and a few transaxles. Some seats, too. Anyone want to start a parts collection the quick, easy, inexpensive way?

That would be ideal but it may not happen. But if anyone needs anything, please get in touch. We can meet there and you may find more than you realized you could use. Also, there are still two cars in there – still a bit buried, but not as badly as before. They’re both Corsa ragtops, one of each year. Neither has the right engine: The ’65 has a 110, the ’66 an empty hole, but I’m pretty sure I have appropriate rebuildable 140s.) The ’65 also has a telescopic steering column.

Best ways to reach me: 401-588-4223 (cell) or pzangari at copper.net. Thanks.

Paul Zangari
