Ok, it isn't Corvair but it is amazingly cool to check out.  The Packard
Motor Car Company closed its doors in 1957, shutting down one of the largest
auto factories in the US; it is located in Detroit, MI.  It has been
abandoned ever since and it is the largest abandoned  property in the US.
It has been stripped of metal, inhabited by squatters, and used as a dumping
ground.  The attached link is a photo essay was put together using original
photos from when the factory was in operation and photos taken today from
the same angle and location as the original.  Move your mouse over the
photos as you look at them and watch them fade back and forth from yesterday
to today.
