No it is the gear that drives the distributer. The rear of the engine has to come off to get to it.

Ok gang after a few hours of tinkering and playing Steve and I came to the same
onclusion; spun timing gear in the engine. So since I have to drop the motor
nyways I'm changing it out. Looking for a 62-64 engine 95, 102, or 110. Running
referable. Shot me an email with what you got and how much. May not happen this
ear but figure I'll get a head start looking. No Vair for me at the convention
GAIN! :(
