Dear Rick,
Rain or Shine, JANE will hold its Autumn Slalom tomorrow, October 24, at the old Moore Airfield in Ayer, MA, the same location as the Spring Slalom.
This time will be a bit different as we will be sharing the site with an SCCA Autocross event. JANE will have its usual JCNA slalom course set up in a seperate area of the huge airfield, and may also be able to run the larger SCCA course.
Tech inspection will be done by SCCA volunteers and opens at 8:00. SCCA may be a bit more rigid about tech than JANE, so make sure everything on your car is in order.
There is also an SCCA drivers meeting at 9:30 and it is MANDATORY, so be sure to arrive in time for both the tech inspection and the drivers meeting.
We will not be serving lunch so BYOL.

Finally, we need volunteersto help set up the course and run the event, so step up for JANE. If you plan to compete, bring your wives/girl friends/sons/daughters to help out and have a great time. Not planning to run or your Jag is "resting?" Come anyway and help out.

Directions to Devens Autocross Site (Map)

>From 495 take exit 30 (Route 2A/110) and turn toward Ayer.</.li>
You will go through a rotary about 5.5 miles from 495.
Continue on 2A, which is the second exit in the rotary (straight across, just past the McDonald's).
You will then go about 1 mile and be in the center of downtown Ayer.
Route 2A will take a right turn just past the main business district; there will be a Mobil station on your left at that corner. 
Travel about a half mile.
A couple of hundred yards after the Dunkin Donuts, take a left onto Bishop Road.
You will pass a cemetery on your left. Go through the first gate. onto Ft. Devons property
Two hundred yards after the first gate, bear right at the Y intersection. This will take you into the autocross site.
Please remember to drive legally in and around town!!
