John -

My brother Steve just had his replaced. And my Dad had his replaced two years ago. As you may already be aware, rocker replacement is very expensive to do. It will probably run $3K to do it. Unfortunately, the only way to find a rust free convertible body is to have it shipped here from the southwest. You should email my brother Steve about it. He even has photos of his car being done. I CC'd him on his email.

  Hi guys,

I have been looking around to see if I could fine a better body than the one I have on my 66 convertible. I have decided mine isn't all that bad. But I definitely need someone more skilled than I to cut out the old rockers and replace them. Does anyone have any recommendations? I live in Framingham. Due to budget cuts, everyone at my company got downsized on Fridays for the summer which gives my son and I time to work on the Corvair. I would like to get the major issue fixed so we are left with the stuff we can bite off in my garage.

  /John
