BSCC- Tech Tip!!

Since I couldn't make it to last night's meeting, I have put together a little "e-mail tech tip" for you...
I was going to make a little presentation on the dangers of "careless jacking".....not so much the physical dangers, which you should already know about...hopefully you practice safety to prevent bodily harm!!
 
But I mean when jacking the car up repeatedly, or in a rush, you can almost be certain to damage the body seam edge (most of us have a "rolled" edge of this in at least 1 spot)
I even let my car down too quickly on a jack stand alone and punctured the rear body jacking area...(see picture)
 
My buddy Steve B had a great idea years ago, which was was to cut a triangular piece of 2x4 to fit into the jacking spot in the rear..it nicely fills the void, protects the body from damage, and it lets you actually place a jack stand next to the jack in one motion! 
So, take your time and prevent some damage!
