BSCC- Indy Event Next Week

Hi all -
I will not be attending the July meeting and Volks-vair show - will be in
Indianapolis for the "Corvair Olympics". 
I think the Corsa is ready to go other than a fresh oil change this week.  I
had knocked the timing down to 14 deg due to ping in this hot weather.
Yesterday I pulled half of each lower shroud off (split due to headers) and
bumped timing back up to 16 deg.  Runs 50 degrees cooler and performance at
16 deg. is much better (I think I scared my daughter - she agreed to go for
a test drive).  OH - got a letter from NECC yesterday - they changed my
driver number, so I will have to work on new numbers for the car this week
too.  
 
Still need to do some prep on my truck for the trip.  And - Yesterday when I
went to grease the wheel bearings on my trailer a brake shoe lining fell out
on the ground - the bonding failed.  I guess new trailer brakes are in order
this week also.  (Dave C. do you carry electric brake shoes at your shop?)
 
I have a new digital camera that also takes good video, and I finished the
new in-car camera mount yesterday.  Hopefully I will have some good pictures
to share when we get back.
 
Registration, Tech inspection etc. is the 30th.  I probably won't be
thinking of the meeting  :-)  - nothing personal.
Pulling out Sunday afternoon.
