Hey Mark,
Thanks for the picture--a very cool plane and a most dashing and
debonair aviator. As an old plane buff, mostly post WWI racing and
WWII military planes, I enjoy the history and admire those who can
restore these gems.
This year a cure!
Sincerely,

Jim
I am not sure if this list allows attachments. If it does, attached is
a
picture of my father during one of the Aerodrome shows with the 1931
'Kinner
Bird' behind him. They used that plane extensively for giving rides so
it
is very possible that is the plane you and your son were in.
My father helped Cole fly it back from Nebraska so they had him fly it
in
the show that day. Last I saw it, it was "retired" and in the museum.
Mark

Mark,
Years ago (30 or so) when our son was about 8 or 9 we went to Rhinebeck.
We
also took a flight over the Hudson Valley complete with goggles and
skull
caps needed for the open cockpit. One seat belt for the two of us. I
remember we banked over and my son slid down to me and held on for dear
life. Quite a place and worth the visit if you haven't been.
The day I was there they did a mock battle between old period aircraft
and
gun batteries on the ground that were protecting the field.
Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
