Hey Scott!
You've discovered one of the joys of Corvairownership. Corvairs are great conversation starters. Sometimes you'll get the negative comments, or the ocassional mis-informed passerby (who we usually feel we have must correct!), but all in all, people have fond memories.
Thanks for sharing and for the tips on the Cruise nights. Perhaps some of us could check them out.

Subject: BSCC- New cruise nights
I have only been to a few cruise nights since purchasing my '61 Monza, and I am already amazed at the crowds it draws. I have been parked next to 'Vettes, Mustangs, BelAirs and Coupe de Villes, yet everyone wants to talk with me about my Corvair. And most have an affectionate memory with the car! Plus, I can't believe how many people want to take pictures of it!
Anyway, since I live on the MA side of the MA/RI border, I find myself attending events on both sides. For those of you close by, the Rhode Aces Car Club has just announced two new events by flyer:
1) The Rhode Aces Car Club & Standard Hardware of 360 Taunton Ave., East Providence, RI are beginning weekly cruise nights every Monday from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. commencing July 30th and continuing through October (weather permitting). Highlights include a DJ, food, drink, and a 50/50 raffle.
2) The Rhode Aces Car Club and the Italo American Club present their First Annual Sunday Cruise on July 22nd (rain date of July 29th) at 477 Broadway, Providence, RI from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Highlights include music, food, beverages, raffles, giveaways, etc.
