Dave, I have had several chain saws. I believe for part time yard care an electric chain saw is the best! I used on up until it finally broke. The gas powered ones are pretty finicky to start and you have to keep feeding them pre-mix. The electric ones
are quieter and never run out of gas & never hard to start. I recommend the electric variety. Sorry about your tree. Just get an extra extension cord you'll be fine! Christopher Dobbs

I need to buy a chain saw and I was looking for input from someone.

I lost a good sized pine tree on the side of my house due to the high winds last night. Ripped right out of the ground. Thankfully, it didn't hit the house, my neighbor's house or any power lines. It's resting on another tree for now. I feel bad for the
multiple bird families that usually nest in there.

Anyway, anyone have any experience with electric chain saws? I figure I don't typically have very much use for one, although it would be handy to have for trimming branches on the trees that I have left. Electric ones are a little less costly, plus a
little easier to deal with...

Thanks in advance for advice and suggestions, Dave _______________________________________________
