BSCC- First to leave - last home probably

Hi all,
We too had a great time at this years Clarks show. It was a very impressive collaboration of efforts by all and mother nature sure came through for us.

I think we may have been the first ones to leave the Red Roof Inn around 8:45am.
We headed out rt 2 - to 2A - rt 140 and besides a breakfast stop we hit up a couple of yard sales, antique shops and visited our daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter in Upton.
After picking up rt 495 in Franklin we hit what we thought was Patriots traffic. It turned out to be an overturned trailer and some car crunches. Stop and go traffic for miles.

Just about as the traffic jam freed up we saw a pretty yellow and black Corvair convertible on the side of the road by the exit ramp for Rt 1 Plainville/Wrentham.
John Texeira didnt look to happy. He thinks it was a vapor lock from sitting in traffic so long and his intent was to sit and let it cool down. After trying a few things with traffic whizzing by, Chuck hooked up a tow line and pulled John and his yellow bird to the rt 1 exit and into the state highway garage off rt 1. We were just starting to tow the car when John Wingle came by and we waved him on. Things were under control. Now I (Sharon) was feeling a lot better about them working on it in a nice quiet spot to figure things out - no cars whizzing by.
After the water cooling didnt work, Chuck went to a garage got some gas to put into the carbs (I think) and the car started right up. We followed John home just to make sure he had no problems and then headed home ourselves.

All is well that ends well. Tired but happy we made it home safe and sound.
Sounds like you all did too and thats a great.
Sharon
