Hello everyone.

        I want to send a personal heartfelt 'Thank You' to all of you who have sent well wishes to me with e-mail or 'Get Well' cards, phoned me and/or Kathy, or came to visit while I was at U Mass Worcester Hospital M-F this week.    
        I went in Monday AM to be treated for a bothersome leg ulcer sore and when he saw that my right leg was swollen nearly twice the size of my left leg, he sent me for an Ultrasound Test where a blood clot was found to be causing the problem.   I was promptly admitted and through follow-up blood work it was found that I had a form of staff infection that got in my open ulcer so I was moved to a private "clean" room for my protection and protection to other immune deficient patients.   They had me on a non-stop Heparin drip and an anti-biotic drip for the infection and was put into an air-bed to resist any more sores.  After 5 days they cut me loose about 6 last evening and I am so glad to be home.   I was really wiped out when I got home.   As any of you who have ever stayed in the hospital know, it's no place to get any rest.
        So thank you all again for your concern.   I still had fresh thoughts in my mind of last Friday's Party that brought a smile to me from time to time.  I hope you all had as much fun as I did.   I'm planning on being back "on the job" this Wednesday evening as the Executive Committee postponed the Mid-Month Meeting for a week to see if I could make it.   Thanks to all of them for their thoughtfulness.
