BSCC- Twas the night before...

the night before Christmas, when all through the
BSC-List
Not a creature was stirring, not even Tom Fiske.
Dave Clark's stockings were hung by the chimney with
care,
In hopes that more vair parts would soon be there.

The Bay State members were all snug in their beds
while visions of Corsas and Spyders sped through their
heads.
And Kathy B. in her kerchief and Ray B. in his cap
Had just settled their heads for the long winter's
nap.

When out on the street there arose such a clatter,
Ray sprang from the bed to see what was the matter,
Away to the window he flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When what to his wondering eyes should appear,
but a wonderful car with the engine in the rear!

With a little old driver, not so lively, but still
'quick'
He knew in a moment it must be Dick (Daniels that is!)
More rapid than a VW his Monza it came
and he whistled and shouted and called the members by
name.

"Now Boyden! Now, Connors! Now McCafferty and Bernard!
On Smiley, On Roca, On MacDonald and Leonard!"
To the top of the Bird porch, inside of the hall
Now to the monthly meeting, let's hop to it you all!!

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly
when they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
so up to the meeting, the Corsas also flew
Mark Edmond's, the Wisemans', and John Teixeira's too.

And then in a twinkling, Ray heard under the hood,
some noises to check, oh yes, yes he should!
As he popped open the lid and was looking down
Bob Sedani was right there with nary a frown.

He had on a Bay State jacket and a NASCAR cap
And his clothes were covered with primer and
paint-sap
A bundle of emblems and trim he had flung on his back
and he looked like a peddler, just opening his sack.

The stump of a tipparillo he held tight in his teeth
and the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath
He had a great sense of humor and a lot of patience
too
‘Cuz he’s been waiting to get his car back since 2002!
(Not really, but it seems like it!)

So Dave Mac usually speaks not a word (yeah right!),
but went straight to this poem
He filled up a newsletter, and even did some of it
from home,
And momentarily laying aside his talent for prose
clicking the send button, from his computer he arose.

He closed down his ‘puter, gave the mouse and keyboard
a rest
To his bed he went, knowing that day he had done his
best,
With apologies to those names that he just couldn’t
squeeze
Happy Holidays to All and to all a good night...if you
please!!

;-)
